The Legend Series

This issue is the first in a four part 'legend series' that profiles the work of some of the most influential graphic designers of the 20th century.

We're kick starting the series with the perhaps understated British designer Ken Garland. We met Ken in his London based studio, where he reflected upon his commercial clients and design for social and political causes.

Also in this issue we find out how a small town in Yorkshire is becoming a creative hotspot, and how a student from St. Martins college of Art and Design is gaining the attention of fellow designers by re-inventing Maya Hieroglyphics.

This week we interview Nate Williams about his latest personal piece entitled 'We Don’t Need Another Anti-Hero', based upon neo-conservative influence from the United States. Born in Argentina, Nate now lives and works in Buenos Aires as an illustrator. Nate describes his style as being like a sponge with attention deficit disorder.
